Music You Should Listen to: Rebecca & Fiona

(photo from Rebecca & Fiona facebook page)

A few days ago, my friend Jess sent me a link to a YouTube video over Twitter saying it was “bff music”. The song was “Jane Doe” by Rebecca & Fiona, a group I had never heard of. Here’s the video:

Immediately, I was in love. The music, the clothes, the hair, everything was so perfect! The two of us looked through their other music and videos, completely entranced.

Rebecca & Fiona is a Swedish duo made up of Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick who released their first single in 2010. In 2012 they went on a worldwide tour and won Best Electronic/Dance at the Swedish Grammy Awards the same year.

I was so entranced by their music that I bought their album, “I Love You, Man” on Amazon almost immediately. I’m glad I did, because their music is now what I listen to almost all the time! There isn’t a single bad song on their album.

Their song “Bullets” is another one of my favorites, and also has a beautiful, dreamy video:

“I Love You, Man” is available on Amazon for only $12 as a digital download, and I highly recommend it if you enjoyed “Jane Doe” and “Bullets”. My other favorite songs by them are “We Are Girls” and “Hard”.

Now I’m off to go buy some mini skirts, pink hair dye, and platforms so I can rock just like them!
