Oh wow I have so much stuff to post in this entry! First order of business: I edited this video together of clips I took in Ashlee’s backyard. And by backyard I mean giant beautiful forest.
I’m actually pretty happy with it! Hopefully Ashlee and I will be doing another video back there soon!
Okay, next up is nails!
Not long ago I bought OPI’s Pirates line, the mini collection. Looking at the bottles I wasn’t too impressed, but then I tried them on. This is “Planks a Lot” which is probably my all-time favorite polish now! It’s the PERFECT color for a Stocking cosplay, and I plan on picking up a full bottle of it.
I also tried on “Sparrow me the Drama” but I forgot to take a pic, so I’ll be re-wearing it soon to do that.
For the Enchanted Forest Meetup, I decided to go full glam and wear a pair of fake nails! I picked these up at Claire’s, mostly because they were only $5. I had to file them down a LOT.
That’s what they looked like before I fixed them up. I’m the one with the crazy rings in that picture. I ended up taking these off that night because they were falling off, but next time I’ll leave them on for longer. It was fun having such elegant nails!
These I threw together because I went to a party on the 4th of July. It’s OPI’s “Jade is the New Black” under Sally Hansen’s “Fractured Foil”. I really like Jade, but since it’s so dark I don’t wear it often. I actually chose to wear a shatter over it because I did it really quickly and I hoped it would cover up any mistakes! It actually ended up looking really cool, having a dark color under silver.
Finally, what I have on now is Essie’s “Lovey Dovey” under Nicole’s “Love Your Life”. I bought “Love Your Life” a while ago because I fell in love with the pink, heart-shaped sparkles in the bottle. Unfortunately, it really doesn’t work on the nail. The tiny sparkles look adorable over the bright pink of Lovey Dovey but the hearts are just too big, and they’re too stiff and stick up on the nail awkwardly.
So then our final topic- I have a new camera!
A pic of it in the Photobooth window haha! It’s a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS.
To test out the macro feature I photographed a new package of false lashes I bought at Forever 21 yesterday. I’m in love!
Another picture showing off the macro skills.
Tomorrow Shay is coming over and we’ll be doing a photoshoot of her Miwako (from Paradise Kiss) cosplay along with filming a music video.
I actually have a small picspam of my new Powder Rose onepiece, but I’ll post that next time because this post is already getting long.
Thank you for reading!
